What does the GMC say regarding safeguarding?
A
- First concern must be safety of children and young people
- Must inform an appropriate person or authority if reasonable concern of children or young people at risk of abuse or neglect
- Must be able to justify decision to not share concern
- Should record concerns, discussions and reasoning for not sharing information

A
- Contact social services to urgently refer to them
- Referral per local guidelines within 48 hours
