In regards to discipline, explain preventive discipline:
stops a problem from happening before it starts. Examples of preventive discipline are safety briefings before three-day weekends, rewards, and training/education.
In regards to discipline, explain Corrective (or rehabilitative) discipline:
restores discipline and/or improves performance. These are the measures you take once someone falls below standards and you must return him or her to the level of acceptability (the standard.)
