complementary antonymy
pairs of semantic opposites which are non-gradable and exclude each other

gradable antonymy
opposite poles of a continuum between which intermediate stages are possible

directional antonymy
a movement with respect to a certain place or a change of direction
eg. enter-leave, come-go
hyponymy
hyponyms have the same semantic features as the hyperonym plus some additional ones, which makes them more specific
meronym
part-whole relationships, where a holonym can be specified as consisting of various parts, the meronyms
polysemy (lexical ambiguity)
often the result of meaning extension over time to create new shades of meaning. in a dictionary, each of these senses is numbered and listed under the head word
