What is Militarism?
Build up military and armaments, countries want to use armies if they build them up
What are Alliances?
European powers formed 2 opposing alliances, building confidence from backup and forcing allies to join in war
What is Imperialism?
Countries take over weaker ones, lead to rivalries and desire for revenge among European powers
What is Nationalism?
Desire for one’s own country or belief in the superiority of one’s own nation
