Assistance, Furnishing
All officers will furnish assistance and cooperate with all other LE Agencies, provide authorized info, and submit a report on all action taken.
Awareness of Activities;
Upon returning from an absence from duty , every officer will familiarize themselves with all new, rules/regs…etc.
Bearing;
Officers will carry themselves in a professional manner.
Civil Disputes;
All officers will take a neutral position, acting only as to prevent or control a breach of peace.
Departmental Communications;
Transmit all official coms promptly, accurately and completely and will inform the OIC any police matter of importance coming to their attention during duty or otherwise. Will call to the attention to relieving officers/employees any info regarding unresolved problems or problems that may arise during the next our of duty.
Complying with instructions from Radio Dispatcher;
All messages over the radio will be direct, concise and conform with dept and FCC rules/regs. No officer will disobey any coms from dispatch unless directed to do so by a superior officer.
Courtesy;
All officers/employees will be courteous to all members/employees. Are expected to exercise utmost patience/discretion, even under the most trying circumstances
Duty to obey
all sworn/non sworn will promptly obey all rules/regs, orders, directives, memos, and lawful orders of a superior officer.
Attention to duty;
All officers/employees, at all times, be alert and vigilant in performance of their duty.
Devotion to duty;
All…while on duty, will devote their full time and attention to the service of the Department and to the citizens. They will remain awake and alert at all times.
Reporting for duty;
All….will report for duty promptly at time and place required. Will be properly uniformed and equipped, ready to immediately assume their duties. Will not absent themselves from duty with out leave.
Duty Status;
considered “on duty” at all times for the preservation of peace, protect life and property. All serious matters will receive appropriate attention, even if off duty at the time.
General Knowledge and Performance;
will familiarize themselves with all laws, statutes, ordinances as to execution of their duty as a policy officer.
Identification;
All officers will carry their badge/ID on them while on duty except when impractical or a danger. If a civilian asks they will give their name and badge # to anyone requesting.
Immediate Action;
regardless of rank, will act immediately to protect life, liberty, or property; to enforce all laws, detect commission of crimes and to apprehend law violators.
