Orders are;
command or instruction, written or oral, given by a superior officer. All lawful orders will be carried out fully.
General Orders are;
the most authoritative written order by the Chief. They are permanent outlining policy matters which affect the entire department.
Special Orders
Temporary written orders by the Chief outlining instructions covering particular situations.
Unlawful Orders
No member/employee will knowingly issue an order in violation of any law or Rule/Reg. Unlawful order will not be obeyed. Will notify the order giver of the illegality of the order.
Unjust or improper orders;
Lawful orders which appear to be unjust or improper will be respectfully called to the attention of the ordering officer or employee. If the order is not corrected, it will be carried out. After carried out the member/employee will fill out a report to Chief via chain, along with clarification of any dept policy.
Conflicting orders;
If conflicting orders, respectfully bring to the attention of the conflict. If not cleared up follow the new order and employee will not be held responsible for disobeying previous order.
