Start with lower case present participle, e.g. (holding . .. arguing . . .. ) and include the short quotation. R. 1.5(a)(ii) (phrases quoting the authority), referring to 1.5(a)(1) (phrases not quoting the authority)
In terms of order of parentheticals where do URLS go? Which rule applies?
After “quoting or citing another source” but BEFORE “explanatory parentheticals” or “prior or subsequent history.” 1.5(b)

What is the rule that covers quotes of full sentences in parentheticals? Where does the period for the quoted sentence go?
R. 1.5(a)(ii) {Phrases quoting the authority). The period for the quoted sentence goes within the closing parens. There is also a period outside the closing parens for the citation sentence itself.
What rule applies to parentheticals not quoting authority?
Rule 1.5(a)(1). Explanatory parentheticals not quoting the authority usually being with a present participate and should not begin with a capital letter.
