How has Malala helped her community?
Malala has fought for equal rights and for girls to go to school. Every year she goes to a new school to help girls.
What happened to Malala
When Malala was around 15 she was Shot in the head by the Taliban after she spoke out against girls not being allowed to go to school

Malala was nominated for a Nobel peace prize and has won one.
What is the Kumbh Mela?
The Kumbh Mela is a pilgrimage that Hindus take every 12 years. It is the biggest Pilgrimage and there are so many people, kids can get lost and never find their parents having to go to orphanages. They all run into the salt sea mostly naked.
Why are cows so important to Hindus?
Cows are sacred because they are seen as the giver of life, eg milk, dung etc. Also because Hindus believe that God reside inside a cow.
How do we know the Kumbh Mela is inclusive?
We know the Kumbh Mela is inclusive to everyone because The Dalai Lama comes and he is a Buddhist and is still accepted.
Why does it appear that the Hindus worship many Gods?
Hinduism appears to worship many Gods but they are really just different aspects/virtues of the one God Brahman who shows himself in many different forms such as: God or Peace, of money, war etc. But they are all just part of one God.
Why are outcasts treated so bad?
Outcasts are treated so poorly because a lot of Hindus believe they are evil people who sinned in their last life so as a punishment were reincarnated as outcasts who are at the bottom of the Caste system
What are the 5 Pillars?
Hajj, Sawm, Sala, Zahadda, Zakkah
What does each pillar mean?
Zakkah- They give 2.5% of their income to charity
Hajj- a pilgrimage they must take once in their lifetime
Sawm- fasting during the month of Ramadan
Sala- ritual prayers 5 times a day
Zahadda- reciting Muslim profession of faith.
What pilgrimage do muslims go on and what happens?
Muslims go on the Hajj one in their life (or more) and they sleep in extremely crowded areas due to the popularity. There are a lot of people so it is easy for mass hysteria to cause stampedes and many people get lost. They circle the Kabbah 7 times, worship and throw stones at the 5 Pillars in order to repent the Devil.
What are Quakers?
Quakers are pacifists who are very peaceful Christians that oppose war (consciences objectors) and hate. They believe everyone is born equal.

The Cadbury’s were famous Quakers (John, George)
What did the Cadbury’s do for their community’s?
The Cadbury’s let their workers live in bournville (or sold it to them for a very cheap price) they provided leisure sports such as cricket they also had a school, doctors and provided lighting and heating etc
