Q

Difference between 1st due LCC duties in brownstone type and OLT type row frames

A

Brownstone type– has to wait for Roof size up and then VEIS TOP FLOOR

OLT type- roof to roof ( doesn’t have to wait for size up ) VEIS FIRE APARTMENT with Aerial for fire on 3rd floor or above (1st n 2nd floor VEIS fire apartment with portables )

16
Q

What’s the salient feature in all RowFrames ?

A

Common Cockloft

17
Q

Construction type in RowFrames

A

Ballon or Braced

18
Q
Cockloft sizes
Brownstones
Tax payers
H-type mDs
RowFrames
A

Brownstones = 2-3 feet

Tax payers = 4 inches to 6 feet

H-type mDs= 4 feet

RowFrames = 1 foot to height of where a man can stand

19
Q

What are the two major defects or faults in construction of RowFrames

A

Lack of fire stopping

Vast quantity of combustible material used in construction.

20
Q

TL 142 is 1st due to a Brownstone type RowFrame how does the roof man get to the roof?
A) bucket
B) 143 stick ( 2nd due )
C) adjoining building ( not the immediate)

2) if he takes the bucket does the OV have to wait for size up, and if he does is there any difference in operations from a TL and aerial ?

A

1) A- takes the bucket

2) yes OV has to wait for size before repositioning— after size up he Vents the FIRE FLOOR ( not the top floor like Aerials do )
- — after venting the FIRE FLOOR he Repositions to the TOP FLOOR for VEIS –( but before he VEIS top floor the OV shall team up with the roof FF or another available member ) ( not practical )

21
Q

TL 142 is 1st due to a OLT type RowFrame does the OV have to wait for roof size up before he moves bucket? And where is he moving the bucket to?

A

Yes he does have to wait for size up !
( different then in Aerials, in aerials they don’t have to wait )
Repositions to VEIS the Fire Floor

22
Q

TL 142 is 1st due to a top Floor fire in OLT BROWNSTONE how is he getting to the roof and is the OV bringing the saw to the Roof?
And what tools is the Roof man bringing ?

Who usually brings the saw to the Roof of it NOT a top floor fire ?

A

Roof takes bucket to the roof,
When the bucket is taken to the Roof the saw n LSR is taken in it

Usually if an Aerial is 1st due
1st due Roof– LSR, Haligan Hook, Haligan, flashlight n HT

2nd due roof brings Saw and Haligan hook
1st OV – brings Saw n Halligan
