They are NOT ROUTE INDICATORS
What happens if a Route Indicator Fails?
Report to Controlling Signaller
What do you do if you have a Proceed Aspect but the Route Indicator is not illuminated?
Contact Controlling Signaller and ascertain if intended route is set
What do you do if train is in motion and you observe the Route Indicator has failed to illuminate?
Attempt to stop prior to
Route Indicator/Signal
Communicate with Signaller or TC
Receive the new Aspect and Route Indication
What do you do if you have been unable to stop the train and have been ‘Wrong Routed’?
Communicate with Signaller or TC
Act under instructions provided
Make a PA announcement
Change ends (RTA form may be req)
Obtain correct authority and set the train back as instructed
Complete an Incident Report
