What is ocular rosacea?

A

When there is eyelid discomfort, irritation, tearing, foreign body sensation, itching, dryness, photophobia and blurred vision

Eye signs of lid margin telangiectasia

Suspected:
- blepharitis
- conjunctivitis
- keratitis
- anterior uveitis

How do you treat rosacea?

A
  1. Avoid triggers
  2. Sunscreen
  3. General skin care
  4. Topical ivermectin
  5. Topical brimonidine 0.5% gel
  6. Metronidazole 0.75% bd or azelaic acid 15% bd
  7. Oral doxycycline 40mg od
