location (modern-day countries)
It was primarily located in modern day Italy.
topography (geographic features - mountains, rivers, oceans, etc.)
It had everything from rigid mountains like Mount Olympus to bodies of water like Aegean Sea. Also, numerous islands and peninsulas.
government structure
It was known for its unique form of government - democracy which started in Athens, but it wasn’t the only form, Sparta had a combined system of monarchy, oligarchy, and democracy.
people (social classes, jobs, etc.)
At the top were the patricians, the elite class. Then came the equestrians, a sort of middle-upper class. The plebeians were common citizens, while slaves were at the bottom.
For jobs, there were senators, soldiers, farmers, merchants, artisans, entertainers, and slaved did various labor.
religion
They were polytheistic, believing in many gods and goddesses. Jupiter, Mars, and Venus were some important ones.
major accomplishments
They built an extensive road network, aqueducts, and monumental structures like the Colosseum. They also developed a legal system that influenced the modern law.
important figures
There’s Julius Caesar, the military genius who became dictator. then, Augustus, Rome’s first emperor. Also Cicero, the orator, and Virgil, the poet.
military conflicts
There were Punic wars against Carthage, including the famous one with Hannibal and his elephants. Then there’s that Gallic Wars where Julius Caesar expanded Rome’s territory, and that also led to Caesar’s rise to power.

Roman culture had a huge influence on architecture, literature, and language.
