Easter Vigil
The service that takes place in the hours of darkness between Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, during which the resurrection of Jesus is proclaimed and celebrated, and the first Mass of Easter is held

Covers the wall of the Sistine Chapel. Symbolises what will happen to us when we are judged by God
The Last Day
The end of time, when the earth will be destroyed and all people will face judgement
Burial
Catholics believe when you are buried you’re judgement will happen with your whole body and soul
Cremation
The burning of the bodily remains of a person
Tombstones and Monuments
Tombstone indicates the location of the earthly remains of a person who has died
Monuments are usually used to remember a important person. Doesn’t have to be near remains eg park bench
Remembrance Garden
An area designed for the remains of the deceased, where mourners can come and reflect in quiet
Eschatology
The study of what will take place at the end of time
Cosmic Disasters
Frightening events in the universe that will indicate the end of time

Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell
Judgement
The belief that God judges a person based on their actions, and either rewards or punishes
Heaven
The state of eternal happiness in the presence of God
Hell
The State of total separation from God
Purgatory
A state of cleansing to remove the effect of sim, to help a person accept the full presence of God
