Knee extension

A

ROM: 0 degrees (May have some hyperextension)
Test position: prone (typically supine in a clinical setting)
End feel: firm
Alignment:
Axis- lateral epicondyle of femur
Proximal arm- lateral midline of femur (greater trochanter)
Distal arm- lateral midline of fibula (lateral malleolus and fibulae head)
Stabilization: prevent femur from rotation, abduction, adduction
***can put towel under leg to test for hyperextension
