Deterent force consists of ?
Their role is to ?
Casing sentry and QM and their role is to control access and provide a visible deterrent.
In a security incident they’re first line of defence until the response force deploys.
Who is the response force made up of ?
Who are they led by ?
Delegated personnel from the FWD part of the duty watch and they’re led by the duty senior rate.
What are the response force armed with and when do they get ready to deploy ?
They could be armed with batons or firearms depending on the situation.
They are to get ready to act if the “quickdraw” pipe Is made on board.
Who is in the augmentation force ?
Other security such as MOD police and fleet protection group Royal Marines.
Role of the response force ?
Locate and contain intruders until specially trained forces arrive.
Recover members of the ships company in prep for evacuation if required.
Having determined the location of the intruder the RF must guard their boundary until other forces arrive.
Where are the instructions of use of force held ?
In JSP 398 A,B & E
Searches fwd and aft conducted by who
Fwd is response team and ships company if required.
Aft is by ME personnel
What are search cards and who are they issued by ?
They are routes you must follow when conducting searches and they are handed out by the DSR from the RF locker. They contain all access and exit routes of compartments.
When a compartment has been cleared what happens ?
The search party have to report to the OOD or control room watch keeper who will mark it off on the incident board.
What is cast as a live device in a search ?
What should you do if you find one ?
Any suspicious device must be treated as a live device until proved wrong
Don’t touch it, move it or cause vibrations near it. And you should report it to the OOD who considers full evacuation of the sub.
If some one in uniform is found without id what happens ?
They are cast as an intruder and they are challenged and their identity has to be proved by the QM
