Raise the alarm, by the quickest means.
Inform control room/ MR of the:
-type of emergency
-location
-systems and equipment involved
Carry out first aid action.
Why is it important to keep a calm manner in an emergency ?
Promotes confidence in others and helps deal with the stress of emergency situations.
You are able to deal with the situation with confidence and authority.
Allows you to recall important information.
Importance of acting as part of a team.
will enable common goals to be achieved more readily.
Support transfer of information and will maintain damage control comms within team.

Manual flood push buttons how many are on board?
Where are they generally located?
There are 27 on board.
They’re located next to ladders and exit doors at key positions on exit routes within compartments.
What happens when you press a manual flood push button ?
When operated they lock in position and alert the scc and MR watch keepers. The push button will be logged on PMS. A key is used to allow for manual resetting of the alarm.

Mobile damage control comms
