Role of DCHQ ?

A

Coordinate DC activities releasing the command and ship control teams to fight, float and move the sub

Close up in the wardroom which becomes DCHQ for any station

If they cannot close up in the wardroom they’re to close up in the naval store to form DCHQ 2

A

How DCHQ takes the incident and the pipe that is piped to inform crew ?

A

DCO ensures that he has sufficient personnel and that they are ready before calling SC and declaring that DCHQ is ready to take the incident.

This is declared by the DCO making a pipe over full main broadcast saying
“DCHQ has the incident all reports to DCHQ are heard”

The teams in DCHQ are responsible for ?

A

Coordinating the response of subs DC organisation to incidents once initial actions have been taken.

Direction of any specific isolations and emergency procedures in response to any incident

Advising command on all aspects of weapon, propulsion and system availability.

Initiating repair procedures.

Coordination of atmosphere control

Initiating and logging of phase 1 and 2 damage control checks

Receiving reports from compartments closed up at any station.
