Road To Zero 2020 -2030 Flashcards
What is the target for road to zero
Target is 40% less death over next decade.
= 750 fewer death/ 5600 fewer serious injury
What are the road to zero guiding principles (clue we)
1 we promote good choices
2 we design for human vulnerability

6 our actions support Health and wellbeing
7 we make safety decision making priority
What are the road to safety focus areas (5)
1 infrastructure 2 vehicle safety 3 work related road safety 4 road user choices 5 system management
Road to zero outcomes framework includes what 3 indicators? Think S I O
Intervention indicators
Safety performance indicators
Outcome indicators
What are RIDS
Restraints
Impairment

Speed
Critical command information is used in the decision making process, this will be sought by obtaining information on road policing from
1 Repeat registration reports (identifies high risk drivers)
2 road safety partnership( transport agency, mot working together)
3 tasking and coordination (process tactics / deployment)
4 Tools (on duty) reviews
5 stakeholder partnerships ( working local and national)
Performance will not be measured by output but by what
Longer term outcomes such as death reduction tools to gather this information are the SAS visual analytics and the National road safety dashboard.
