A

When stressman died what he predicted happened. The Wall Street crash caused the investors in Germany to pull out and they wanted the money they loaned back. So by January 1933 6,100,000 people were unemployed. Many of these people blamed the government so turned to a new one like the Nazis who promised people work and bread.

They used propaganda and promised bread and work. This is what the people wanted they didn’t want free handouts they wanted to provide for their families. They also Weren’t apart of the government who got Germany in the mess. The Nazis also used violence and had the SS and S.A. who were highly disciplined.

A

Von Papen helped Hitler get into power as he convinced Hindenburg that he could use Hitler as their puppet and really Von papen and Hindenburg would be running the country. He also wanted to put Schleicer out of the job as Schleicer originally put him out of his job as he convinced Hindenburg that the country couldn’t be run under decree.
