The rise of one leader because of anger or depression in a country.
Fascism
One leader promotes extreme nationalism in a country through military force. (Italy and Germany)
Rise of Hitler
Germany was angry after the Treaty of Versailles left them broke and without a military. Looking for someone to blame, Hitler stepped up and blamed the Jewish, Roma, and undesirables.
Rise of Mussolini
believed nation is better than the individual. Fascist party leader in 1919, Prime Minister in 1922, Wanted to be like Caesar and reinstitute Roman empire.
Rise of Hideki Tojo
Wanted more japanese territory for resources, there was instability with high tariffs, corrupt politicians, and stray from tradition. Military leader took over the Emperor. Killed 300000 people in the Invasion of Nanking China.
Rise of Stalin
Aimed to re institute a strong indrustry through restructure. Trampled rights of the people with government own factories, steel mills, and power plants. Anyone labeled Enemies of the People (8-13 million) killed.
