Creates national highways connecting the entire nation in order to transport troops in case of nuclear war.
Migration to Sunbelt why?
There was a new economy with Air conditioning due to warmer weather, also a push for civil rights. But it was easy to get to because of highways.
Roles of women change
Women were pushed out of factories since men were back. They should’ve aimed to be housewives. new American dream of materialism aimed to market vacuums, ovens, and fridges to women
What contributed to the baby boom
The men came back from war. Also, women were put back into their traditional positions as housewives and housemakers. It should’ve been their goal to have kids. 76 million were born
