It means a great charter. A group of English Nobles forced King John to sign it. It guaranteed/promised certain rights to nobles and free man. It limited the powers of the Monarch. Eventually these rights applied to all English people

It makes laws For England It consists of two houses the House of Lords these numbers are not elected by inherit the position, and the House of Commons whose members are elected by the people

They’re similar to house of commons. They were created because the English colonist wanted a say and governing themselves
