Rho(D) immune globulin (RhIG) is a medication used to prevent RhD isoimmunization in mothers who are RhD negative and to treat idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in people who are Rh positive.
Prevention of anti Rh(d) antibody formation is most successful if the medication is administered twice as 28 weeks of gestation and again within 72 hours after delivering
State the mechanism of action of rhogram

Antigen coated red blood cells are removed through maternal circulation
Central inhibition-interfere the production of IgG from B cells.

State the administration for Rhogram
First shot around 28 week
Second within 72 hours following delivery or abortion
Maybe giving up to 14 to 18 days after delivery to avoid sensitisation.
State the indication for rhogam

State the adverse effect of rhogram
Elevated temperature
Tenderness
State the contraindications of rhogram
