DMARDs

A

SAMPLING

Sulphasalazine (oligospermia, headache, dizziness, rash)

Antimalarials - chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine (retinopathy, rash)

Methotrexate - purine antagonist (liver failure, lung fibrosis, acute pneumonitis, cytopenia)

Penicillamine - (glomerulonephritis, bronchiolitis, cytopenia, myosotis, taste disturbance)

Leflunomide - pyrimidine antagonist (hypertension, diarrhoea, liver impairment, cytopenia)

Infliximab or etanercept - TNF alpha antagonist (opportunistic infections eg fungal, TB, bacterial septicaemia

Nasty - azathioprine, mycophenolate, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine (immunosuppression, cytopenia, lymphoma, haemorrhagic cystitis

Gold - IM or PO (nephrosis, renal failure, cytopenia, diarrhoea)
