A
- Black bone spicule-shaped pigmentation in the peripheral retina.
- Mottling of the retinal pigment epithelium.

- Refsum disease:
- cerebellar ataxia, peripheral neuropathy, deafness, ichthyosis
- Usher syndrome
- Abetalipoproteinemia
- Lawrence-Moon-Biedl syndrome
- Kearns-Sayre syndrome
- Alport’s syndrome
