Restart Malfunctions Flashcards

1
Q

Feather Button light is on following pressure cutout override action

A

Pull the Emergency shutdown handle. If the feather button light goes out, push in the emergency shutdown handle and continue the restart procedures. If the light does not go out, put the prop feather control circuit breaker and investigate.

Incomplete cutout may be caused by a prop fluid leak, stuck PCO button, or malfunctioning PCO circuitry.

After investigating, reset the prop feather control circuit breaker. If the system operates normally, continue the Restart procedure.

If the system does not operate normally, pull the prop feather control circuit breaker and complete the Emergency Shutdown procedure.

No leak/overspeed, continue.

Stable rpm is usually 30-45%
