Nose
Divided into right and left sides by the nasal septum
Nasal Cavity
Throat. Region in which income air passes
Pharynx
Below the pharynx and consists of several pieces of cartilage joined together by membranes and ligaments
Larynx
Windpipe. Is a flexible tube about 4 inched long and 1 inch in diameter
Trachea
Two tubes that branch from the trachea to each of the two lungs
Primary Bronchi
Dome shaped partition that separates the thorax from the abdomen. Contraction increases volume of thorax, so the lungs inflate
Diaphragm
Pair of cone-shaped bodies that are located in the thorax. The two lungs are separated by the mediastinum (cavity that contains the heart)
