Q

White segregation from other groups declined over the 1980-2000 period but it declined less in places with the largest increases in _________.

A

Diversity - this is consistent with white aversion of diverse neighborhoods; also, the inflow of many recent immigrants who tend to display higher levels of segregation–is also serving to, at least in the short run, produce greater white segregation from others in these diverse areas. (Iceland 2009)
