GEN OBJECTIVE
To produce competent and well-trained graduates equipped with the core KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and VALUES requires of a family physician that is patient-centered, family-focused and community oriented
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- To provide learning experience to the qualified trainess
for a continuing, comprehensive 1st-contact care to pts
covering the family as a whole and its relationship w/ the community
in health mtn and dse prev
taking into considerarion the biopsychosocial factors that affect the pts
- To promote interest in and perform actual research work
and apply acquired knowledge and skills in family practice
- To prepare the residents for certification by the PAFP specialty board

Criteria for Promotion to the Next Level
Clinical rotations - 40%
Performance Eval - 30%
Examinations - 20%
Research - 10%
Requirements to the Credentials Committee for promotion
- Clearance from the Research Committee
- Clearance from the Med Admin Service
- Clearance from Dept of Radio and Radtx (DRR)
- Certificate of Good Standing from the PMA
- Photox of an updated card from PRC
- Accomplished form of Classification Questionnaire for Physician
- Dept Head’s accomplished Merit Rating Form for training resident physicians and eval report
Criteria for Termination
- Non-submission of the research protocol (1st yr), update (2nd yr)
- Other criteria shall be adapted from the Civil Service Commission grounds on dropping from the rolls as follows: absence w/o leave, absence/ poor performance, physically unfit
- sanctions as may be determined and imposed by the dept
Criteria for Admission (Gen Requirements)
- Filipino citizenship
- Graduate of a recognized med school in the Phils
- Duly-licensed physician
- in good physical, mental health and with good moral character
Criteria for Admission (Specific Requirements)
- Passed all required docs by the dept and hosp
- Passed satisfactorily a 2-week preres period
- Passed the psychiatric eval
- Breakdown of the grading system as follows:
THEORETICAL (50%)
PRACTICAL (50%) - Gen Ave of 75%

Interview - 30%
Competitive Exam - 25%
