What are the main ways designers gather information about the customers needs and wants?
A
- They look at current trends for example what products are successful and why they are successful. (why customers buy it product)
- Interviews and questionnaires with the customer and what they like to see in a product (ACCESSFM)
- Conducting focus groups with the product’s target market- they can be interviewed to gather feedback throughout the designing process.
- Collecting anthropometric data about the target market’s size, shapes and weight to improve comfortability (ergonomics), dimensions and even load stresses.
- Study into ergonomics- testing how the customer interacts with the product to improve functionality and make it more comfortable.
