Gynecomastia
enlargement of a man’s breasts, usually due to hormone imbalance or hormone therapy
Mastitis
inflammation of the mammary gland in the breast or udder, typically due to bacterial infection via a damaged nipple or teat
Peau d’Orange
a pitted or dimpled appearance of the skin, especially as characteristic of some cases of breast cancer or due to cellulite
Cryptorchidism
a condition in which one or both of the testes fail to descend from the abdomen into the scrotum
Epispadias
congenital malformation in which the opening of the urethra is on the dorsum (topside) of the penis
Hypospadias
the opening of the urethra is on the ventral surface (underside) of the penis.
Hydrocele
the accumulation of serous fluid in a body sac
Phimosis
a congenital narrowing of the opening of the foreskin so that it cannot be retracted
Prepuce
foreskin, the fold of skin surrounding the clitoris
Prostatitis
inflammation of the prostate glad
Varicocele
a mass of varicose veins in the spermatic cord
Cystocele
a medical condition that occurs when the tough fibrous wall between a woman’s bladder and her vagina (the pubocervical fascia) is torn by childbirth, allowing the bladder to herniate into the vagina
Rectocele
a prolapse of the wall between the rectum and the vagina
Dysmenorrhea
painful menstruation, typically involving abdominal cramps
Tail of Spence
an extension of the tissue of the breast that extends into the axilla
Leucorrhea- a whitish or yellowish discharge of mucus from the vagina
Menarche
the first occurrence of menstruation
Menorrhagia
abnormally heavy bleeding at menstruation
Multiparous
a woman having more than one child at birth
Salpingitis
inflammation of the fallopian tubes
Nocturia
wake up during the middle of the night to pee
Impotence
erectile dysfunction, inability to achieve or maintain an erection long enough to engage in sexual intercourse
Urethral Stricture
an abnormal narrowing of the tube that carries urine out of the body from the bladder (urethra). Urethral stricture may be caused by inflammation or scar tissue from surgery, disease, or injury
Orchitis
inflammation of one or both testicles
Menopause
the ceasing of menstruation, usually occurs between 45-50 years of age
Uterine Prolapse
a condition in which a woman’s uterus (womb) sags or slips out of its normal position. The uterus may slip enough that it drops partway into the vagina (birth canal), creating a lump or bulge
