What is the aim of reproduction?
To produce a new living organism which will at some point will become independent from it’s parent
Why is it important for species to reproduce?
Species reproduce in order to survive

Sexual reproduction involves two parents who’s offspring is made up from the genetic information from both parents
What is asexual reproduction?
Asexual reproduction is when there is only one parent and the offspring is an identical copy

Fertilisation occurs when the nucleus of the male gamete fuses with the nucleus of the female gamete
