This can refer to past research and other studies that have ben conducted, so the reader knows the reasonings behind the study

A

This included the method that the researcher conducted to establish their results and should include:
Procedure
Ethics
The design of the study and a reasoning why
Sampling method
And the study needs to be discussed in chronological order.
