The overall SlicerDicer process involves selecting a patient population and then choosing criteria such as demographics, diagnoses, lab results, or current medications to create investigative queries.

• Make New Discoveries
• Parse large quantities of data quickly
• Show data to patients to encourage behavior changes
• Find patients for research studies or screening programs
• Spot trends over time or based on patient location

Signal is an Epic-hosted web application that helps the organization measure Ambulatory provider efficiency with Epic.

It basically allows your organization to compare your organization to peers in the Epic community and identify areas for improvement.

It also allows individual providers to se a series of metrics related to their use of the system.
