Flowsheet Data Structure
Consists of Templates, Groups and Rows
Cascading Method
Additional rows that become available based on the user’s documentation.
Copy Forward
When selected, this allows users to copy forward previous documentation into another flowsheet row for that encounter.
Restrict Rows
When selected, only the rows / groups that are listed in the columns in the Build Editor are allowed to be on the Flowsheet template.
Allow & Start Remove
Allow Remove:
When selected, users will be able to right-click and remove the group. Only rows with previous values will be removed.
Start Remove:
When selected, the particular row / group will still be a part of the Flowsheet template, but will not appear when the user first opens the Flowsheet.

Collection of Flowsheet Groups
Ex: Percutaneous Testing Template
Master File: FLT
Flowsheet Groups
Flowsheet Groups are a collection of rows that belong to a specific template.
Ex: Test Information (Percutaneous Testing Template)

Flowsheet Rows
Flowsheet Rows are the distinct questions / fields that are found in the Flowsheet groups, which is where the users will enter data.
Ex: Allergen Manufacturer (Test Information Group)

Row Type
Two most common row types are Data & Flowsheet Group.
Data allows users to input direct information (temperature, heart rate, etc.), while Flowsheet Group is what determines if the FLO record becomes a flowsheet group that contains flowsheet rows.
Value Type
Determines what type of information will be displayed in the row.
The following value types are available:
Blood Pressure, Custom List, Date, Height, Numeric Type, Patient Height, Patient Weight, String Type, Temperature, Time, & Weight.
