Rhabdomyolysis

What is the most common site of edema in kids with nephritis?
Periorbital
What type of edema is seen in the extremities of kids with nephritis?
Non-pitting
What are reducing substances?
Glucose/Galactose (bi-products of bacteria)
When are reducing substances seen in the urine?
UTI or carb metabolism error
What is the Holliday-Segar method for peds IVF?
4 cc/kg/hour for first 10 kg
2 cc/kg/hour for second 10 kg
1 cc/kg/hour for each additional kg
What defines oliguria?
< 500 mL/day of urine output
What defines anuria?
< 50 mL/day of urine output
What are the SNS levels for the kidneys?
T10-11

1” above umbilicus on ipsilateral side
