- A cue is a trigger that allows us to access a memory
- Some are meaningful
- Some have no meaning- they’re but linked to the material in your memories such as an emotion

- Remembering something because you’ve encountered it before

- We can use memory techniques to help remember things
- Such as mneumonics or acronyms
