What are the 3 types of visions?
CORPOREAL, IMAGINARY, INTELLECTUAL
Explain corporeal visions
-visions seen through physical senses
-can be seeing a religious figure or even seeing God through nature
give a historical example of a corporeal vision
BERNADETTE - in Lourdes (pilgrimage site), aged 14 gathering firewood. ‘came a dazzling light and a white figure’
Explain imaginary visions
-Image formed in the person’s imagination + has no existence external to the person ( not sensorial hallucination) EG: dreams
-beyond individual conscious control
-doesn’t see through senses, but through the ‘ minds’ eye ‘
- usually SYMBOLIC of some truth
give a historical example of an imaginary vision

-no image, not seen by the eye / minds’ eye
-elusive, spiritual, formless
