Q

What is the split half method?

A

One group of participants are given a test once
Participants answers are divided in half and compared
The two half’s should be similar
Can be compared by calculating a correlation coefficient

Q

How to deal with issues of reliability in self reports

A

Questions can be removed to see if the split half test returns a high reliability score
In external reliability, the questions may be poorly written and cause confusion
