Homosexuality
Physical homosexual acts are sinful as they are not procreative sex. But homosexuality in itself is not, homosexuals are asked to celibate.

Contraception
Artificial contraception is not allowed while natural methods are acceptable. Sex should be open to life and pregnancy left to be decided by God
“Be fruitful and multiply” Genesis 1:22
Nature/roles of the family
A family should be nuclear with parents of the opposite sex as children need a mother and father.
Traditionally, a mother shoukd look after the home and children.
A father should protect and provide for the family.

Men and Women are equally important. But serve deifferent roles in society and the family.
“in the image of God he created them; male and female” Genesis
Cohabitation
Cohabitation (in the form of an unmarried couple living together in a sexual relationship) is disagreed with as it:
Breaks the sanctity of marriage
May affect children if there is a split
Divorce
Divorce is not an option in the Catholic Church as it breaks the sanctity if marriage and the promises made before God.
Marriage is ‘till death do us part’ (Catholic marriage promises)
Annulment
If a marriage is void (invalid as it did not meet the Catholic requirements), a couple may be annulled
Gender Discrimination
In general, discrimination should not happen. Men and women should be paid equally and have the same rights.
But, defending a woman’s rights should not detract from their role in the family. And cannot be preists.
Purpose of the family
To give new life
To educate
To support, love and care
