The Word of God

“In the beginning was the Word” Jesus is eternal
“The Word was God” Jesus is God
“… was with God” Jesus is also distinct from God the Father
The Son of Man and The Son of God
Jesus is fully human and fully God. Jesus was always God due to God being eternal but limited himself to the human condition on Earth.
We can’t focus too much on human otherwise he is just a good person and we cant focus on God as then he is God in disguise. Doing otherwise is heresy
Being “son of man and “son of God”
