Reinforcer Assessment Flashcards
Concurrent Schedule
2 or more contingencies of reinforcement operate independently and simultaneously for 2 or more behaviors
Matching Law
2 stimuli against each other to see which produces more reinforcement
HighP to Low P preference
Multiple Schedule Reinforcer Assessment
Presenting 2 or more schedules of reinforcement for a single response with only 1 component schedule (FI, FR, VI, VR) in effect at any given time.
An SD signals the presence of each schedule
Ex: teacher provides reinforcement at a VR 2 schedule to a group
Tutor provides reinforcemebt at a VR 1 schedule to a 1:1 session
Progressive Ratio Reinforcer Assessment
Effectiveness of stimulus as a reinforcer
Reinforcement is increased systematically over time Independent of behavior
Gradually requires more responses per presentation of preferred stimuli
Initially FR1, then FR2, then FR4 and so on
