Changing Criterian Flashcards
1
Q
Changing Criterion Design
A
- Successive and gradually changing criterion
- 1 behavior
- already in subject’s repertoire
- graduated or step-wise fashion
- Variation of Multiple Baseline Design
2
Q
Length of Phase
A
- must be long enough to achieve stable responding
- Bx that are slower to change require longer phases
- Validity is increased when you vary the length of the
phases.
3
Q
Magnitude of Changing Criterion Changes
A
- Size of the changes between each criterion should
vary to prove strong Functional Relation. - Changes need to be large enough to be detectable
but not too large to be unattainable. - The more changes the better proof of Experimental
Control.
4
Q
Advantages of Changing Criterion Design
A
- does not require reversal
- enables experimental analysis within the context of
gradually improving bx.
5
Q
Disadvantages of Changing Criterion Design
A
- bx must be in repertoire
- not appropriate for shaping program
- NOT a comparison design
