The way a place is redeveloped and marketed, so that it gains a new identity to attract investors and visitors. Done through re-imaging and regeneration
Re-imaging
Countering negative place image by changing perceptions of a place
Post-production countryside
Rural areas that no longer make most of their income from the primary sector
Rural flight
Young people leaving a rural area due to a lack of opportunities and/or services
Diversification
Converting areas used in the primary sector to tertiary (farms made into camping, paintball, ice cream etc)
Local Interest Groups
Collection of people in an area that share a view on regeneration projects
