Impending foetal death
Taking a history for RFM. What RFs for still-birth do you need to ask about?
Multiple consultations for RFM, known FGR, HTN, diabetes, extremes of maternal age, smoking, placental insufficiency, obesity, poor past obstetric history
What is the role of CTG in RFM?
To exclude foetal compromise if the pregnancy is >28 weeks
What is the role of USS in RFM?
> 28 weeks: If RFM persists despite a normal CTG or any additional RFs
RFM <28 weeks - how should foetal heart beat be confirmed?
Ascultation with a hand-held doppler
