Recording Equipment Flashcards
Explain the EIS
Electronic information system - Overarching aircraft system of EFIS and ECAM. Oversees for all of the aircraft indicating and reporting during flight and in some on ground operations.
Explain the EFIS
Includes the FCU, PFD, and ND. it’s purpose is to provide information for on ground, in flight, abnormal, normal and AAR procedures to enable safe and effective flight.
explain ECAM
Electronic centralised aircraft monitoring system - is split into two sections, the EWD and SD. provides flight crew with information on aircraft operating procedures. Will display all emergency warning and cautions for the flight crew and steps to fix the faults.
Split 8th o different subsections for different aircraft components and different phases of flight.
Explain the FCU and the location.
The FCU is located on centre glareshield
It is the auto flight system for the aircraft. Allows flight crew to set parameters to allow auto flight. Uses the control knobs to adjust the flight parameters. Push the knob in for the preplanned flight plan, and pull to adjust the parameters manually.
ECAM procedures required for a master warning
Master warning will signal - immediate action required from flight crew, PF to fly the aircraft and PM to deduce the situation. Once decision has been made, hit master warning to disable the warning, follow procedures listed on ECAM.
