Aircraft Hydraulic Systems Flashcards
What are the three hydraulic systems on board the aircraft
Green
blue
yellow
Describe the green hydraulic system
Driven by two engine driven pumps, with an electrical and RAT as redundancy. Powers one of the actuators for the boom when lowering on ground. Monitored by the HSMU. operates at 3000psi
describe the yellow hydraulic system
driven by one engine driven pump (engine 2). Has an electric pump for redundancy. Operates the cargo doors while on ground and can turn on automatically in the event of an engine 2 fault with flaps at position 0. Operates at 3000 psi.
Describe blue hydraulic system
powered by engine 1 driven pump, has an electric pump as redundancy.
Which hydraulic system powers the AAR pumps
the AAR pumps utilise pressure from all hydraulic systems
which hydraulic systems power each fuel pump
Green - Powers 2, 3, 6
Yellow - Powers 5
Blue - Powers 1, 4
What is the low pressure system within the hydraulic system
each hydraulic system has a hydraulic low pressure valve, which turns off pressure to non-essential components in the event the systems has a leak.
