spear et al., 2007 - disadvantages for retrospective cohort studies is the limited control over the the data collection as it was gathered a while ago. EXAMPLE- spears et al., collected data over 10 years ago on a study on obesity and concluded that the outcomes of the mastectomy flap necrosis was not uniformly recorded for all subjects.
