Story of Adam and Eve
• Adam named all of the animals.
• Eve was created from a rib of Adam’s.
• Adam and Eve were given the task of looking after the Garden of
Eden.
• Adam and Eve were told by God not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge
of Good and Evil.
• The snake tempted Eve, who ate the forbidden fruit and gave some to
Adam.
• Adam and Eve were banished from the garden because of their ac-
tions.

• Human beings are the high point of creation.

Being made in God’s image and likeness means:
- Human beings are more important than other parts of creation.
- We are like God and so can relate to him.
- We have consciousness and self-awareness
What does the book of Genesis say about humans and animals?
The Book of Genesis says that human beings have dominion over all an-
imals. This means that humans are stewards who have control over all
animals in the world, and the responsibility to look after them.
What does a steward of creation mean?
that you have to look after the environment
because we have the power to protect or destroy it.
