'’It is more important for Christians to practice their faith alone, than with others.’’
AGREE 1 quote
Jesus taught that instead of praying to be ‘seen by men’ you must ‘go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen.’
'’It is more important for Christians to practice their faith alone, than with others.’’
DISAGREE 1 quote
‘Live in harmony with one another.’ Romans 12:16
Means we should worship together to create harmony
'’It is more important for Christians to practice their faith alone, than with others.’’
AGREE 2 quote
‘For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.’ Proverbs 2:6
God is clever and understanding and therefore realises that praying at home is more important as everyone can do it, wheras praying at churches isn’t accessible for everyone.
'’It is more important for Christians to practice their faith alone, than with others.’’
DISAGREE 2 quote
‘If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by the Father in heaven.’
When we pray together, God will do anything you ask of him.
‘Infant Baptism is not as important as Believer’s Baptism.’
AGREE 1
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16.
Believers Baptism shows that a Christian is devoted to God which therefore, allows them to be permitted into heaven.
‘Infant Baptism is not as important as Believer’s Baptism.’
DISAGREE 1
‘Repent and be baptised’
Infant Baptism shows you are devoted to God all of your life wheras believers’ baptism doesn’t have that level of devotion. This happens as babies of believers are counted as believers from birth.
‘Infant Baptism is not as important as Believer’s Baptism.’
AGREE 2
Believer’s Baptism allowed Chrisitans to ‘live a new life’ wheras Infant Baptism forces them into one they might not even agree with.
This points to baptism symbolising an old way of life dying and a new way of life being raised as someone goes down into the water and then back up from it.
The dying of an old way of life is only possible when a person has decided to become a Christian.
‘Infant Baptism is not as important as Believer’s Baptism.’
DISAGREE 2
‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.’ - Proverbs 27:17
Infant Baptism allows children to become apart of the church community from an extremely young age alllowing for that children to have a deeper sense of community and belonging than from a believer’s baptism.
